Facility Overview
Washington United Terminal (WUT) occupies 133 acres at the Port of Tacoma. WUT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyundai Merchant Marine America that has operated the terminal since 1999. The terminal has 2,600 linear feet of berthing space with an alongside water depth of 51 feet. It has the capacity to handle 18,000 TEU vessels with two super post-Panamax and four post-Panamax cranes. The facility has 884 reefer outlets and on-dock rail access with a capacity for 52 rail cars. The port is 1.3 miles from the I-5 corridor. The terminal also has a maintenance and repair service.

- Entrance Requirements
- Individual: All trucks serving our international container terminals must now have a registered RFID tag and a 2007 (or newer) engine
- Vehicles: Release full or empty containers at out-gates per CUSTOMER’S instructions. Import (inbound) containers will only be released upon receipt of electronic release authorization from CUSTOMER or its agent. Empty containers to cover export bookings may be released from the Terminal
