Facility Overview
Portsmouth Marine Terminal is located on the Elizabeth River in the Port of Virginia. It occupies 287 acres. The terminal has three berths with a total berthing length of 3,540 linear feet. All container traffic has been moved to the Norfolk and Virginia International terminals. However, the terminal is available for roll-on/roll-off, breakbulk, and project cargo. The facility was capable of handling 437,500 TEUs per year with six Super post-Panamax cranes and 190 reefer outlets.
