Facility Overview
Nashville Terminal at the Port of New Orleans (NOLA) is part of the world’s wharf at just short of two miles. It occupies 103 acres with one million square feet of covered storage. The terminal has 11 berths, with one designated for containers and two for roll-on/roll-off cargo. The port only handles about 480,000 TEUs per year while it processes almost 70 million tons of cargo. Its 4,345 linear feet of berthing space is located on the east bank of the Mississippi River with a water depth of 35 to 45 feet. The four gantry cranes help move cargo ranging from coffee to copper. The terminal has on-dock rail access.
