Facility Overview
Maher Terminal is part of the Port of New York and New Jersey in Elizabeth, New Jersey. It occupies 450 acres and has 10,000 linear feet of berthing space. Its alongside depth is 50 feet and can accommodate up to 1200 reefer connections. The facility has 24 cranes to handle its 2.4 million TEU capacity. Of the 24 cranes, eight are Super post-Panamax cranes, with the remaining 16 post-Panamax. Its primary cargo is containerized, although it will support general cargo, breakbulk, and roll-on/roll-off cargo. The terminal contributes a significant percentage of the total 640,000TEUs, the port process per month.
