Facility Overview
APM operates the container terminal at the Port of Mobile on the Gulf Coast off of Alabama. The terminal occupies 134 acres, with plans to add another 32 as part of a rail yard expansion. The rail improvement will add on-dock service with a direct connection to the inland Port of Montgomery for distribution into the heartland. The terminal has two berths with an alongside length of 2,400 linear feet. The water depth is 45 feet. The terminal has four super post-Panamax cranes to handle the 650,000 TEUs annually. With the planned expansion, the capacity will increase to 1.3 million TEUs.
