Facility Overview
Port Newark Container Terminal is part of the Port of New York and New Jersey. The terminal is located on 272 acres with a capacity to handle 1.5 million TEUs. It has 13 cranes, four of which are post-Panamax and Super post-Panamax. The terminal has a berthing length of 4,400 linear feet with a water depth of 35 to 50 feet at its three berths. The terminal’s primary cargo is containerized general cargo with some breakbulk and dimensional cargo. The facility has 10,000 feet of operational rail tracks with ready access to major ground transportation routes.
