The Kansas City Southern Jackson intermodal terminal is located just west of the city’s airport. It occupies 47 acres of land with a capacity of 31,708 lifts per year. In 2022, the number of lifts was a little over 5,000. The facility also has 2,870 feet of working track. It is one of three intermodal terminals in the state. In 2023, Kansas City Southern Railway merged with the Canadian Pacific Railroad to form the CPKC Railway. The combined companies offer a rail service that can transport goods from the Pacific Coast to the Midwest.
