Facility Overview
Dames Point Marine Terminal is located 14 nautical miles from the sea near Jacksonville, Florida. It has four berths with an alongside depth of 40 feet. Only cruise ships use berth 10. The space has a 63,000-square-foot terminal to support Carnival Cruise Line’s Elation passengers. The remaining three berths handle automobiles, containers, and bulk cargo. The facility covers 585 acres, although only 185 are used for cargo. The terminal has access to intermodal capabilities with 15,400 feet of railway. The space has six container cranes, six gantry cranes, and 550 reefer outlets. A multi-million expansion project is scheduled to start in 2022 or 2023.
