Facility Overview
Port Elizabeth is part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. It is located on the Elizabeth Channel off Newark Bay. It has three deepwater berths and occupies 350 acres. The berths have a depth of 45 to 50 feet and a berth length of 6,001 linear feet. In 2021, APM Terminals completed an infrastructure project that added ship-to-shore cranes for a total of 15. Ten of the cranes are super post-Panamax cranes to support larger ocean-going vessels. The facility handles 2.3 million TEUs per year.
